How The Open Access Referral Process Works
Partnering with VisionLOCK Adjustment Centers through the MOA Open Access Network provides a straightforward and efficient path for integrating the LAL adjustments into your offerings. Here’s how the patient path works:
- Referral: The referring optometrist sends to the surgeon for the Light Adjustable Lens cataract surgery (if applicable).
- Surgery: The surgeon performs the surgery at their preferred location and refers the patient to a VisionLOCK Center for postoperative adjustments.
- Initial Adjustment: Scheduled 17 to 30 days after surgery, the patient receives their first adjustment at a VisionLOCK Center.
- Subsequent Adjustments: Follow-up light treatments occur 3-7 days after each prior session, with final lock-in adjustments to secure the desired vision.
- Communication: Detailed reports of each adjustment are sent to both you and the referring optometrist to ensure continuity of care.
- Ongoing Care: After the adjustments are complete, the patient is returned to the referring optometrist for long-term eye care.
